Pankobirlik President and Konya Şeker Chairman delivered a message in connection with World Environment Day in June.
Delivering a message due to 5 June World Environment Day, Pankobirlik President and Konya Şeker Chairman Recep Konuk told that "The environment that we say it is exhaustible is being exhausted, eco-system is destroyed and production is getting difficult. Now, there remained no excuse that humanity can hide behind and no environment to be ignored” by noting that according to climate change report prepared by World Bank, our Country is expected to warm 2 Celsius in average in mid of this century.Noting that the deterioration in the Ecosystem of course is not only as a result of human habits, namely the sole reason of environment disasters is not the human, however, today, when it comes to environment problems and its resource, human comes first in mind, Pankobirlik President Recep Konuk, told in his statement as such: " Consumption patterns and production structures and selfishness of human in the heart of the destruction of ozone layer, global warming, disorganized settlement, nuclear pollution, acid rains, contamination of water resources, decreasing forest land, extermination of plant and animal species,air pollution due chimney, exhaust and industrial gases, decreasing agricultural lands and many other environment problems.And the sole component of environment that can solve there problems is again human who is one of the resources of it. Danger is out there even if it is not for our generation but for future generations.And there is a very simple formula that is required to be performed by sole being that can eliminate this danger; put back whatsoever taken from nature.Konya Şeker and Turkish Farm at him behaves with this principle for years. Seeing the reason of being in agriculture and continuity of agricultural production and being aware about that this only can be sustained by a sustainable ecosystem, Konya Şeker showed this sensitivity by putting more of obligations enforced by legislation into practice.By carrying putting back whatsoever taken from nature principle a step further due to sensitivity to environment and agricultural responsibilities, Konya Şeker formulated it as the "giving back more of whatsoever taken from nature” and its environmentalist approach is brought into reality without just leaving it as a word.Construction of Integrated facilities in 5th class agricultural land is a result of this approach and amiable devotion on protection of limited agricultural lands and our land assets.Treatment Facility investment which regains the disposed water upon treating into agricultural irrigation is a concrete indicator of our amiable environmentalist approach. With electronic filtration system, prevention of stack gas exhaustion and recycle of water and air without being polluted to nature is a result of devout commitment on necessity of protection of environment that we live in. Investment that will make our country familiar with new developing environmentalist solution in energy utilization of our country by producing bioethanol with the purpose of decreasing the damage to environment caused by exhaust emission of fossil fuels and much lesser harmful gas emission is a result of our openness to environmentalist approaches.Konya Şeker’s realization of dripping irrigation investment that provides water to be disposed with significant saving without waiting our county to be effected from drought, plantation of 4,5 million tree in 3 three years without compensating Konya Closed Reservoir pace and enthusiasm and determination of new target as planting trees at a number in as much as Turkey’s population, all of them, is a result of this principle.To give back more of whatsoever taken from nature.
