Therefore, it delicately carries out the social responsibility activities in many fields fron environment to education, health to sports.
Environmental Impact
With the principle of “Leaving the one it obtains from the nature again to the nature”, Konya Şeker has introduced its goal of bringing saplings as much as Konya population together with the land and exceeded this goal more than enough within a 3-year period. In this framework, it has constituted forest on a land of 950 decares as well as it has bidirectionally forested rural road of 3000 km.in 275 villages and towns.
In these forestation efforts, the selection of appropriate saplings has been paid attention by performing soil tests, the maintenance and irrigation activities have been made carefully by the assistance of water-tender and technical staff. At the end of it, a significant success has been achieved by reaching an adsorption rate of 98% in forestation activities.
“Environment-Friendly Çumra Şeker”
Konya Şeker, holding a facility producing oxygen contrary to polluting the environment, has adopted the principle of being “environment-friendly” in Çumra Şeker Entegre Tesisleri. Therefore, state-of-the-art technology has been used in the plant to prevent air pollution, rate of water use has been kept at the lowest level. Yet, the water used in the plant is treated until they have the quality of drinking water also by means of the treatment facility built by high technology.
Furthermore, in Çumra Şeker, the soil which arrives at the plant together with the beet has been projected in a manner that it will return to the land again in order to be recuperated. So the erosion, which will occur because of the moving in the productive agricultural lands, is being prevented.
In order to ensure the continuity in foresting efforts,a Sapling Production Center
at a capacity to be able to produce 4.5 million saplings per year has been established in the body of Çumra Şeker as well.
Konya Şeker, actualizing the goal of arbor as much as the population of Konya , maintains its contributions to the environment permanently. Thus, the new goal in foresting efforts is to bring the saplings as much as the population of our country together with the land.

Konya Şeker, in this context, has put a grammar school into service by meeting all requirements, where 14 classrooms and an arena are available.

Support to Sports
Konya Şeker Spor Kulübü has been established for the purpose of supporting sports, ensuring our youth to join the sports activities and grow in good health and constituting the infrastructure enabling the sportsmen of the future to be trained. In the body of the club; football team, bicycle team and wrestling team are carrying on their activities.
The club; constituted for giving the youth and the children the chance of sporting in better conditions, protecting the youth from harmful habits and allowing them to be trained in better conditions; has riden high with the sportsmen who it embodies.
One of these successes has come out and at the World Wrestling Championship carried on recently and Turkey has become the world champion in the branch of greco roman as a team firstly in its history. The fact that 5 out of 7 sportsmen of the greco roman national team, by which Turkey has become the world champion, is composed of the matmen of Konya Şeker Spor is the most apparent indicator of the importance attached to sports by Konya Şeker.
In the recent years, it has obtained many championships at the bicycle races in Turkey . At 44th Egyptian Road Races, the team of Konya Şeker Spor competing on behalf of Turkey has come in second amongst 15 national teams. This year, 4 out of 8 sportsmen on behalf of Turkey has joined from Konya Şeker Spor in the race realized between Professional teams of the world at 45th international Presidency Bicycle Tournament. In this road race where 160 professional cyclists have competed, Mirac Kal from Konya Şeker Spor competing on behalf of Turkey has gained the best degree having become the 9th. Konya Şeker Spor has maintained its rising in Bicycle sports as well.
Konya Şeker Spor Kulübü is experiencing the pride of training wrestling and cycling youth who are the champions of Turkey by the support it gives to the sports.
ORGAN DONATION
The employees of Konya Şeker and Çumra Şeker Entegre Tesisleri have participated in the campaign of organ donation launched by the leadership of Recep Konuk, General Chairman of Pankobirlik and Board Chairman of Konya Şeker. In consequence of the efforts launched in the framework of the campaign of organ donation, 750 employees of Konya Şeker have donated their organs. Konya Şeker Family has demonstrated that it is conscious in this action as well. Konya Şeker, who undertakes its responsibilities in sports, education and forestation, has broken new ground perhaps in Turkey, even in the world by the organ donation.
