FROZEN POTATO PLANT
The facilities having the highest Technologies and integration in the sector are the most modern facilities. In the facility where firstly The Facility of Frozen French Fries will be established at the facilities, Potato and Corn Chips Facility and Vegetable-Fruit Drying Facility will also take place later on.
In the facility, where the raw potato is aimed at being produced as “Frozen French Fries” product through processing and introduced to the market, test production was started as from the end of January 2009. The facility with 5.000 kg/hour final product processing line will have a storage capacity of 5 thousand tons of finished products, 30 thousand tons for 2008 and 80 thousand tons of raw potatos together with the additional storages planned. Seydişehir and Beyşehir regions were chosen as the place of investment since the plants’ being established at the sites close to the regions where the raw materials are grown, will decline the input costs highly. Whole production is carried out by the plants belonging to domestic capital. This year, contractual industrial potato planting will be carried out in Seydişehir and Beyşehir regions for the test production of our Frozen French Fries investment. Furthermore, the production of potato seed will be done again within 2009 as well for the purpose of meeting the certificated potato seed requirement of our farmers in the next years. Thus, Konya Şeker, continues to make its partners earn in every respect by both making them produce, receiving and processing the products produced by them and also providing employment for the people of the region.
